H. Jack Klingensmith is a shareholder in the law firm of Walters Levine Klingensmith & Thomison, P.A. where he practices in the areas of labor and employment and government and municipal law. PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTSMr. Klingensmith has 36 years of experience successfully representing private and public sector clients before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and all federal and state courts in Florida. He is also admitted to practice in the states of Illinois and Colorado. Mr. Klingensmith’s professional memberships include the American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He has consistently received the highest rating for legal ability and professional reliability from the national Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory; has appeared as a guest lecturer for the United States Department of Justice; serves as city attorney for the City of North Port, Florida; and has conducted continuing legal education seminars on labor, employment, government and municipal law for the Florida Bar, National Education Network, City of Gainesville, Florida, Charlotte County, Florida, Florida Public Risk Management Association and the Institute of Public Safety. EDUCATION AND SCHOLASTICSMr. Klingensmith graduated from DePauw University where he was elected to the national scholastic honorary society, Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University School of Law and was associate editor of the Law Review. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENTMr. Klingensmith is a member of the board of directors of Do The Right Thing of Sarasota County, Inc., a law enforcement sponsored community relations program, is a member of the Pine Shores Presbyterian Church and has served on the allocations committee of United Way.
