Michael A. Gold, LL.M. is an attorney in the law firm of Walters Levine & DeGrave, where he practices in the areas of criminal defense, construction litigation, business law and collections.
PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Michael has been practicing law for 20 years. Throughout his career, Michael has been a litigator, working on large and complex financial civil and criminal matters in both state and federal courts. Since coming to the law firm, Michael has focused his efforts on assisting our clients in a wide range of civil and criminal litigation matters.
Michael is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida..
EDUCATION AND SCHOLASTICS
Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from University of South Florida. In 1995, Michael received his law degree from the St. Thomas University of Law, graduating with honors. While in law school, he was a member of Senior Articles Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review. Michael subsequently received a Masters of Law Degree in Securities and Financial Regulations from Georgetown University Law Center where he graduated with high honors.
Michael has been a speaker at several seminars and lectures for the National Business Institute involving collections, construction litigation, and civil procedure matters.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Michael has been a member of the board of directors of several non-profit organizations including the Mary Walker Apartments, a nonprofit housing development, and the Forward Thinking Initiative, an entrepreneurship program for teens in middle school and high school. In addition, Michael has spent many years coaching youth soccer.
